this past week our unit was able to attend the vs retreat at knob noster state park in south west missouri. we hit gorgeous weather and had a fun time meeting other vsers and sharing experiences and stories. the theme for the week was our vision for the church. i really enjoyed the speaker, marty troyer, and engaging with fellow young adults about our vision for the church today and how we see ourselves in the movement of change. our unit left retreat an evening early to head back to st. louis so that i could prepare to leave for virginia the next morning and so dan could head off to a volleyball tourney in texas.
zach mast and josh yoder came to pick me up in st. louis and drive me back to virginia. i had a very hard time saying goodbye to my housemates and already miss them so much. on monday i leave for india for three weeks to visit sara crosthwait and then head to egypt for a month to visit my brother and his wife. i will try to keep this updated as much as possible!
