back west

upon arrival back to st. louis following a wonderful holiday visit in virginia we were welcomed home to a freezing house with broken heat! my friend greg drove me back to st. louis and stayed a couple days to visit the city, my work and hang out before returning to school. we bombed out trying to visit many places that all seemed to be closed only as few as two minutes prior to our arrival but we still had a great time seeing what we did see and playing lots of games. with our heat broken for the last four days we had created a new camp out in our living room that we hardly every use. it turns out we like that room a whole lot more than we ever imagined and when our heat was fixed we weren't ready to move back into our usual living arrangements. we are still experimenting with some new arrangements to the house, we'll just have to wait and see how that goes.
although it is always hard to go back to work following a break i was very happy to go back once i walked into the clinic. we have had a lot going on at the clinic and there was lots of holiday talk and stories to share as well. so, it's back to life in st. louis, a sad truth that the holidays are over...
