day to day

I'm settled back into st. louis and having a lot of fun diving into my new job at la clinica. i already love it so much! i am so happy to be working in the south city neighborhood and getting to know a new population of people. although my spanish is sadly horrible i feel so inspired by ALL my bilingual co-workers, they are amazing. i am learning a lot about the latino community and so much about different fields of medicine as i am able to work with doctors from many different specialties.
a friend, dae, from college moved out to st. louis to attend grad school here and ended up moving within walking distance!! she is actaully a mutual friend of heather and i's and so we had her over on labor day and grilled the best kabobs i have ever eaten, seriously they were good. we did have to fight it out with the grill for a bit but then we had it all under control and did a mad grilling job. tonight we tie dyed shirts as a unit since a lady at church had announced she had the dye and shirts if anyone wanted to do it. it seemed like some really high tech dying process and the shirts are actually sitting in bag on the counter right now until tomorrow when we can rinse them and reveal our artistic magic... i'm a little worried mine might turn out to be a big solid blue, we'll see. the pictures are of me and dae, me, tiffany, and dan tie dying and then heather, tiffany and dan tie dying.
