time for a post

seems like it has been too long since i last wrote. the time just flies by here and i can't belive this week is thanksgiving. i am excited to celebrate the upcoming holidays but sad that this will be my first thanksgiving away from my family. there are so many things to be thankful for in my life and i am happy for the ease of life here and time to focus on what i've been given and all i have to give. wow, run on sentence, i swear my writing skills decrease with the time... the unit has been invited over to tina and kyle's (friends from church) for thanksgiving. we are hoping to catch the thanksgiving day parade downtown first and then proceed to stuff ourselves silly with thanksgiving food, followed by games and hopefully napping. yay, i love the holiday!

this past weekend our unit hosted the vs unit administrator from kansas. he took us out to eat and we in turn showed him all that st. louis has to offer. we are hoping to really beef up the placement options in st. louis and attract even more vsers to our fine city. lots of ideas are in the works and i am excited to sing the praises of our vs city. i have grown so much during my time here in st. louis and hope that other vsers can come here and have similar experiences. luckily he came to visit in perfect weather and so we were able to visit the sculpture park and walk outside in the warm sunshine. yay for global warming?!?...
